Preview of UIview running Precision Mapping 9.0

The three screenshots below are captures of UIview 2.03 running with Undertow Software's Precision Mapping.  The first two shots show the new 9.0 version, using the new Precision Mapping Server 9.0 plug-in for UIview. .  The last shot is of the current Ver 8.1 for comparison.

Note that thie first is a very large 1080-HD (1920x1080 pixel) GIF image, while the other two are XGA (1024x768 pixel)resolution GIF images.  On systems with a lower-resolution display, you will have to scroll side-to-side and up-and-down to view all of each picture.

The first image shows three virtual machines, each running UIview 2.03 and PMap Server 9, running in Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 simultaneously, on my host machine's Windows XP desktop.

The host has 4GB RAM, of which slightly less than half is being used by the three VMs. [The host machine is a Dell Dimension 4600 2.8GHz classic P4 (no multiple cores) with a 1TB SATA drive and nVidia video card with DVI/HDMI output.]

At the extreme left, you can see the Microsoft Virtual PC Console that starts & stops the Virtual Machines.

These are 2 screen shots comparing the color scheme of the new Precision Mapping 9.0 against that of the older Precision Mapping 8.1 below. Note how the colors of roads are much more subdued in the new Precision Mapping 9.0, compared to Precision Mapping 8.1    The Interstate highways just are not as prominent in the new version.   However, APRS symbols and objects DO stand out more clearly against the pale backgrounds in the new version.
