These audio clips are digitized versions of 7" open-reel audio tapes recorded at AFVN Detachment 4B on Hon Tre in 1970. They are an assortment of audio production including station ids, stingers, spots & PSAs. There are also some air checks with most of the music removed to fit several hours of programming into the half-hour 1200-foot 7 1/2 IPS tape. Additionally, two full one-hour programs ("air checks") are provided. These are all in MP4 a.k.a. "M4A" format and should play in any modern browser without additional plug-ins or added codecs.
This is the 50-year-old Sony TC-560 I purchased in Viet Nam in 1969. It still works perfectly. (I was amazed that countless electrolytic capacitors hadn't dried out over the half-century!) I used it to play the archival tapes into a Behringer UCA-202 USB "sound card" to digitize the tapes.

Blast From The Past! I spliced a white leader to one of the tapes. This is the first time in over 25 years that I have physically edited a recording. (Rather then doing a copy/paste on a computer.) It took five hours to find my case of tape editing tools, but less than two minutes to do the job.
