Space-saving acoustic phonograph ("Victrola") circa
1910. The record player is concealed inside a Victorian-style table
lamp. The lamp shade swings up to reveal the turntable. The iconic
morning-glory horn fires straight down and becomes the lamp base. This
completely mechanical non-electronic device produces an amazing volume of
sound.
This design would appear to be the reverse function of the PZM (pressure
zone microphone) developed over 50 years later.
