Tri-County ARA Field Day 2008 Pictures
This page is just a quick and dirty display of some
photos from the Tri-County ARA (Tri as in Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Orange
County, California) Field Day 2008. No attempt to create a fancy HTML
layout with clickable thumbnails.
The first four pics are wide-angle panoramics created by
stitching together 5 to 9 snapshots using the amazing
AutoPano stitching program. In most browsers
you will have to SCROLL -> SCROLL -> SCROLL to the right to see all of the
picture.

Note 14 dBi WiFi panel antenna standing on the roof of the Jetta. (The WiFi
antenna was used to connect to a hot spot in a coffee shop about two and a
half blocks down the street to monitor APRS on findu.com). You can also see,
between two of the palm tree trunks, the 30-foot portable mast holding up a
ladder-line fed HF dipole and a Diamond 77 2M/450 no-ground-plane mobile whip.
